Welcome to Notaviva Coworking, a completely new concept in rural coworking.
The vision behind the launch of Notaviva Coworking was to create a space for creativity, collaboration, and community built upon the Notaviva Vineyards brand tenets of wine, music and rural lifestyle. To that end, we have restructured our hours of operation and tasting room layout to reflect our commitment to our coworking members while continuing to serve our winery visitors. Check out our FAQs to learn more.
By providing our members a one-of-a-kind custom handcrafted timber frame space, situated on a hill overlooking a working vineyard in beautiful western Loudoun County, we are able to free your mind from the stress and distraction of the Northern Virginia gridlock. We love incense. We love a steady stream of Buddha Bar, Classical, Vintage Bop, and other mind-stimulating music channels. We LOVE coffee.
You want to sit in the corner with your headphones on and shut yourself away from the world? We totally respect that, and understand that sometimes focus is critically important. We also dig meeting interesting people, learning about their current gigs and their backgrounds. The coworking movement is thriving because you never know who you’re going to meet, who will inspire your next project, and who you’re going to impact.
We love wine, you love wine. We love music, you love music. We love seeing people come together to drive business growth and discuss the world around us, while enjoying a glass of wine and listening to great music. We are committed to providing our members with access to interesting people and educational events in order to broaden their appreciation for both wine and music as well as further their businesses and careers.
From the Italian:
nota – music note
viva – with life
The term was conceived for an Internet venture in 1999. Notaviva.com is a Web site devoted to the online distribution of sheet music. The original goal was to design a word that could capture the essence of music’s effect on human emotion. For instance, how would you describe the rush experienced when your favorite song comes on the radio, and the reflex as you reach for the volume? What causes the sadness when a love song brings back the memories of a long-lost romance? Explain the tingle on your skin during the finale of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, or the tear in your eye during Puccini’s “Nessun Dorma.”
That connection, that feeling is Notaviva.
Our goal in the founding of Notaviva Vineyards is to capture that feeling and put it in our wines. Be it joy or sadness, we endeavor to create wines that will connect our patrons with their occasions. To that end, we shall name our wines with appropriate musical terminology. From our Vincerò Viognier to our Cantabile Cabernet Franc our wines shall seek to convey a wide range of emotions to enhance the enjoyment of both the wines and the moment.
